This wine was made using the traditional Georgian wine-making method called 'Qvevri', a clay pot underground, used for ageing with skin contact, giving these types of wines unique characteristics. Asuretuli Shavi expresses notes of wild strawberry, ripe cherry, blueberry and rose. Pairs well with red meat and hard cheeses.
I heard about Georgian wines before, but I never had chance to try them as I’m living in the UK. I saw this amazing ad running on Facebook about Georgian wine and discovered Regibus. I ordered different wines but this one in particular blew my mind. This full bodied red wine made using Georgian traditional technique tastes like no other red wine I ever tasted in my life. Definitely recommend Asuretuli Shavi to everyone, who is into dry red wines and wants to try something new.
